Arundathi sweeped the Nandi Awards for 2008. It won 10 awards. But most of the awards are techinical awards. Sonu Sood won the award for Best Villain and Anushka won Special Jury award. Ravi Teja on the other hand wins Best Actor award for Neninthe which is a liitle unexpected. This is the first Nandi award for Ravi Teja. Gamyam as expected won the Best Film Award.

Allu Arjun's upcoming movie Arya2 has been getting delayed for a while now. It got into trouble a couple of time when the audio songs were leaked almost before months and fake posters were released before the official release. As per the reliable sources there was some misunderstating between the producer and the hero and the movie got postponed even after the release date was announce. Now it looks like everything is settling and the new audio release data is annouced as November 2nd. Thought the songs were already leaked, guess the producer wants to make things official. The movie might release some time in November.

Yuva Samrat Nagarjuna and Lawrence are coming together again after two movies Mass and Don. Lawrence who is a dance director by profession has turned director with super hit movie Mass. He also directed Style and also acted in the movie which is based on Dance masters. Though Don was a failure at the box-office, look like Nagarjuna is giving him another chance. Lawrence has also composed music for Don.

This new movie with Nagarjuna will not only be directed by Lawrence but also will be produced by Lawrence. Lawrence is planning to produce another horror movie in Tamil later. So Lawrence has become multi-talented by being a dance director, music director, director and now producer.

Hansika who made her debut in Telugu Cinema opposite Allu Arjun in Desamuduru is going to act opposite Arjun in another movie. The movie is none other than the multi-starrer Vedam. Krish is directing  this movie. Manchu Manjoj, Anushka and Allu Arjun are already working on the movie and now Hansika is paired up with Allu Arjun by director Krish. 

Yes these are the release dates annouced for the latest movie Bumper Offer which stars Puri Jagan's brother Sairam Shankar and the hot telugu girl Bindhu Madhavi. The movie has been already postponed 3 times now and the latest release date is 23rd. Hopefully the movie gets released this week. Puri Jagannath is producing this movie and Jayaram from the school of Puri Jagannath is directing it. Music is already a hit and the audio was released on Puri Audio. Sounds like an Ad but Vodafone ties up with director Teja's Jayam Movies to host talent hunt 

Hyderabad, October 7, 2009 – Vodafone Essar, one of India’s leading cellular services providers, has exclusively tied up with Jayam Movies, a leading production house of Telugu movies, to host a talent hunt. The selected candidates will star in a forthcoming movie by the popular Telugu movie director and producer, Teja, known for his movies like Jayam, Chitram and Nuvu Nenu.

Registration for the contest can be done only through Vodafone numbers in Andhra Pradesh. Aspiring candidates need to simply use their Vodafone AP number to register through Voice, SMS or on WAP page. The registrations are open till 30th October 2009.

Speaking on this occasion Teja, said, “For this endeavour we were seeking a youth-centric partner and Vodafone turned out to be a natural choice! We are very pleased with this tie up and are confident that Vodafone’s innovative streak will make this initiative a success.”  

Balakrishna's next movie Simha in the direction of Boyapati Seenu is at brisk progress in Ramoji Film City. Sneha Ullal and Namitha are playing opposite Balakrishna. Parachuri Kirti is producing this movie and is planning to release the movie for Sankranthi 2010. Boyapati Sreenu directed Tulasi with Venkatesh and Badra with Ravi Teja. Chakri is composing the music. Currently a song is being shot on Balakrishna and Namitha in RFC.

Jr NTR has abruplty ended his political campaign on March 27, 2009 due to an accident occured to the car he was driving. The incident happened on NH-9 Mothey Mandal. Contrary to that news in the papers and tv channels that NTR was driving the car, Jr NTR's driver Uday Kumar was arrested today (October 14th) for his high speed reckless driving and injuring couple of others.

Mothey Mandal SI said that a case was registered against Uday Kumar and so he was taken into custody.

Krishna Vamsi's latest release Mahatma is getting into various controveries each day. With a sensitive storyline that Mahatma has these are expected. The new contoversy is that the menmber of Bajarang Dal have staged dharna at Mahatma office in Filmnagar. The members of this Hindu organization are upset about some scenes and alleged that the scenes hurt Hindu sentiments. They demanded Krishna Vamsi for an apology and asked to remove the scenes immediately. 

What is the scene exaclty?

Some members of the Dal protest Valentines day and force hero and heroine to get married focefully. Hero then goes against the members. 

The Dal members gave 24 hours to remove the scenes. And we know that such incidents haven taken place in the past in a different place in India. This is not something that Krishna Vamsi has created on his own. Hopefully there is no reason to remove such scenes.

Blue-Ray is the latest High Definition technology for DVD movies. Most of the Hollywood movies and Bollywood movies are being released in Blue-Ray for some time now. Telugu Cinema has entered into this HD technology and Nagarjuna and Trisha's King is the first movie to be released on Blue-Ray. The movie will be in full HD format 1080, a resolution of 1920x1080.  King BD was released on 13th October through Bhavani DVD. 

Can't wait till Magadheera releases on Blue-Ray disc.

Naresh has done a female role in the hilarious Chitram Bhalare Vichitram. He suited well for the role and has got good fame with the movie. Now Naresh is doing it again after 17 years with Karthika Masan. Karthika Masam is new movie with Naresh and Pravallika in the lead roles. Directed by G anandhbabu Karthika Masam is a socio fantasy film. Suman is playing the role of Lord Shiva. Music is composed by Lakshmi Vinayak.

The Kantri combination is back. As announced earlier Aswini Dutt, Meher Ramesh and Jr NTR are making another movie that will start soon. The movie is titled as Shakthi. Meher Ramesh directed Kantri and then Billa. This will be his third movie. The movie will be produced on Vyjayanthi Movies. Ileana and NTR acted together in Krishna Vamsi's Rakhi.

Jr NTR is currently working on VV Vinyak's film. Nayanatara is paired up with him. The movie is tentatively titled as Adurs. This new Aswini Dutt's movie may start after the completion of Vinaya's movie.

Siddartha and director K Ragahvendra Rao's son Prakash has announced a fantasy film a while agao. Now the film is going on to the floors from the 21st of this month. Prakash was supposed to act as hero in the direction of Rajamouli and that did not happen. Praksh has entered direction and directed a movie called Belly Full of Dreams which won National Award. Now he is all set to direct the movie with Siddharth and Mickey J Meyer is composing the music for the film.
