Gamyam and Kotha Bangaru Lokam sweeped most of the awards at 56th Idea Filmfare South Awards. KBL won 5 awards and Gamyam won 4. But Gamyam won all the main awards. Best Film, Best Director (Krish), Best Supporting Role (Allari Naresh) and Best Lyrics (Seetharama Sastry). Allu Arjun won the best actor award for Parugu and Colors Swathi won best actor award for Ashta Chemma.

KBL swept the maximum number of awards and the notable awards are Best Music (Mickey J Meyer), Best Supporting Actress (Jayasudha). Kantri is the other film that won for its best Choreography (Prem Rakshit)
