A year ago Arundathi was a name heard along with Anasuya but now it is heard with the name Anushka. Arundathi which was made on a budget of 13 crores has grossed more than 70 crores in Telugu and Tamil. Arundathi was released in Telugu when there were no novel movies except for action/faction and some love stories.

Arudathi is also being made to hindi with Deepika Padukone playing the lead role. The money spent by Kodi Rama Krishna (13 crores) is all worth and can be seen in the movie. Hope this is the begining of a new era of movies that will follow.  The Janapadhams that were missing in telugu cinema due to the budgets can be made with the excellent graphics quality.
